As all of you who read yesterday’s column know yesterday my co-worked Kristyn and I went to NYC yesterday and saw Potted Potter , a play, where all 7 Harry Potter Books are done in 70 minutes.
I knew yesterday would pose several problems with eating. But I was wrong, although I really wanted to have the New York Reuben fries and cole slaw, when we went to the diner next the theater, I chose a regular roast turkey dinner, no stuffing, it was enough and the extra protein gave me the added energy I needed for the job ahead, the results of which you will be able to see and read soon in the reviews area of Pop Culture Madness.
The challenges are not quite complete for the week. Tonight a group of friends and I are going to see The Bourne Legacy and then dinner after the movie. Here’s the issue, I love movie food, but the portions, even the small portions, are really too much. My thought is that they need to cut the sizes down and lower the prices. Can I get and amen from someone out there?
We did do some major walking yesterday so I did get some exercise in. Tomorrow I will go back to daily regular exercise.
For today, the bright lights and sounds and wonder of NYC and the cast of Potted Potter are a memory, and the adrenaline rush I got for the trip is over. It’s time to face a new day and new challenges as we all continue in making great life style changes.
